Stinging Nettles "Tread Softly"

Stinging Nettles’ album “Tread Softly” hits stores today. You can purchase a copy at CDbaby or download the full album or single tracks at DigStation. If you’re in the Lancaster area you can purchase a copy at Mr. Suit Records. You can also preview three full tracks at the Stinging Nettles myspace page.

Stinging Nettles is a fuzz-folk/indie trio based in Lancaster PA featuring the songs of John Huebner. The record was recorded and mixed by me here in my studio and mastered by Garrett Haines at Treelady Mastering.

We are mighty proud of this album. (I play bass in the band as well) I hope you can check it out for yourself, pick up a copy, and support independent music!

Satellites show cancelled this Saturday

Hi All – just a quick note that our (They Were Only Satellites) show was cancelled this Saturday night at Quip’s Pub do to a scheduling conflict. We’ll be getting back on the horse after the new year.

Also, we did start recording the record for the Satellites a few weeks back. I’ve been too swamped to post any details about the recording, but I hope to do more of that as we go along.

And furious work continues on the Stinging Nettles record. We are slated to mix the second week of January and are shooting for a Feb. 2009 release! exciting times. Be sure to check out the new Stinging Nettles Blog where you’ll find updates, anecdotes, and all things Nettles!

website changes

Bear with me as I update the site to the new format. Although I still do a small amount of web design for clients, I am very green when it comes to any type of CMS (Content Management Systems) and this is the first time I’ve fully implemented Wordpress into any site. So, I’ll be doing my best to keep things updated and trying to figure out all the bells and whistles. It has at least re-piqued (that is definitely not a word) my interest in web design and thankfully there is a fair amount of CSS involved. I do love me some CSS.
