Here’s the video for “Jane” that They Were Only Satllelites recorded with our good friend Steven Courney at Folketown Studios.
… I’m the guy in the orange tie
We recently went to Folktowne Studio to do a live session with studio owner, engineer, musician, all round nice guy, Steven Courtney. This is a song called “No one here (Quite like you)”. If you’re in the area, check us out tomorrow night at Quip’s pub with the talented Mike McMonagle.
After years of kicking out the jams at face-melting shows in Lancaster and beyond, the Stinging Nettles are hanging up our clogs and slipping out of our lederhosen into something a little less comfortable – boredom and apathy. Soon we’ll be sleeping on your couch for weeks on end, drinking all your soda pop, and leaving kernels of popcorn in the pizza box that is your living room. We’ll go on all your dates as an awkward third wheel, plague your Facebook page with song lyrics, and leave you long messages about how you should have stayed with that girlfriend you had in college (the one that looked like Tori Amos).
But before all that happens, we’ll be playing one last show at Quip’s Pub on October 30th. It’s a Halloween show, so be sure to dress up!
Hey all, The Joe Jack Talcum Powder Trio (JJTPT – TCB) has returned from our mine-tour of the south. We had a great time! Thanks to all the fans and friends we met along the way. Be sure to check out our touring buddies The Bastards of Fate. They are awesomer than Don Henley, Pat Morita, and Jay Leno rolled into one. I will happily be doing a few more shows with Joe throughout the year including on this fall at the Dogfish Head Brewery in Rehoboth, DE on October 29th.
