Did some new photos the other day. I just grabbed my hat and boots, my baby seal fur sweater, and my shiniest jeans. I fell down in this shot! lolz. Luckily my leather jacket broke my fall, cuz that corrugated metal siding would have hurt something fierce! But luckily this shot still captures my unique approach to bass playing. Left handed with my thumb and overtop of the frets with my ring finger. (PS. Those tumbleweeds stung!)

Thanks to Bobby, Tom, and Darry for having me over to Right Coast Recording to hang out, geek out on gear, and sit in on a session. What a great room. Killer gear, great people, and great sounds. Good things are happening over there and I’m sure I’ll be back to do some tracking myself. Be sure to check them out at www.rightcoastrecording.com.

After a few years of talking about it and trying to make out schedules work, I’m finally getting down to the business of making the first Jack Dillman studio record. Jack is a staple in the Lancaster music scene, a talented songwriter, and a good friend. We did some pre-production work over the weekend and we’ll be slowly selecting and refining the songs for the album and getting everyone on board for the recording sessions. More to come. We’ll keep ya posted.

Stinging Nettles have added a new guitar player and things are sounding groovy. Studio is in a transitional stage but I think some good things are coming ahead.

Stinging Nettles is a fuzz-folk/indie trio based in Lancaster PA featuring the songs of John Huebner. The record was recorded and mixed by me here in my studio and mastered by Garrett Haines at Treelady Mastering.
We are mighty proud of this album. (I play bass in the band as well) I hope you can check it out for yourself, pick up a copy, and support independent music!
Here’s one of the first reviews of the record from The Sentinel in Cumberland County, PA
